Originating from: Lithuanian-Italian-French-Canadian-Indigenous American ancestry growing up in the Chicago area. Mother died when I was 11. Father suicide when I was 16.
57years old, and like you, counting.
Have exhibited artwork and poetry. I love gardening. Have worked in landscaping, some farming, but mostly construction related enterprises, particularly carpentry. My nephews band has at least one song of mine on the web. I have thousands of poems and photos, some of which will slowly make there way to this or other spots as I get familiar with how to do all this web-weaving. Somewhat regular contributor to a local paper.
Most interested in human impacts on earth and socio-cultural history, the present and future and how I can gain insight from merging diverse perspectives to draw a more whole impression of what is true. Seek to define my life by an introspective view as to what is true and what is beneath its honest requirements to be known.
I believe in change (being that it is inevitable and ever-present). Personal growth as well as human advancement into the potentials of being human are of continuing interest to me. Have had sufficient metaphysical experiences to trust in a transcendent aspect to reality as it appears, believe there are inner dimensions to being that connect all things; there is no being alone.
As a member of a churches service team back in the mid eighties, I would speak extemporaneously on matters pertaining to my life and lessons learned extrapolating from exposing my misconceptions, assumptions and how they did or did not serve in establishing an honest and heart-full life.
I like to be funny at times. Love seeing the qualities of nature, especially flora and fauna in their element. I recycle, plant many things including trees every year. Wherever I am I check on how plants are doing. I also treat “pets” as if they are the sentient beings they are. Am an avid weather watcher.
I do not believe one gets over ones past but rather can learn to appreciate more from hardship, valuing the seminal present moment as if it were tied to the eternal and transcendent, it cannot help but be.
Thank you for listening.

-Tucson’s ugly freeway is no more. Unless one thinks all freeways are ugly. The upcoming gem shows and other occasions will now encounter a wider road and enhanced underpasses below I–10. This shot is along the frontage road.

This site is not uncommon throughout the state. This is near Tucson, or in Tucson on the Southwest edge of the Tucson Mountains. The Tucson Mountains, which come right up to Tucson’s downtown’s west side, once were said to be on top of the Catalina Mountains, centered approx. 20 miles Northeast.
